Clariant’s operative business adheres strictly to the company’s internal control guidelines for the area of »environment, safety, and health« (ESH). This directive should ensure that there are no breaches of internal and external regulations. As a result of these efforts and stringent voluntary commitments, Clariant was not aware of any cases in 2015 in which it has been accused of not having acted essentially in compliance with laws, regulations and voluntary codes of practice in connection with nature and environmental protection. As such, Clariant did not have to pay any substantial fines or non-monetary penalties for non-compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
