Since the beginning of the systematic analysis of all energy consumption at Clariant in 2006, the consumption of energy per produced ton of products has been halved within nine years. The energy demand per production unit in 2015 was approx. 782 kWh/t (absolute 2866 m kWh), compared to 921 kWh/t in 2013 (absolute 4014 m kWh).
