Clariant markets and sells its products worldwide. In the past years, Clariant has increased the geographical diversification of its business and reached a significant sales growth in the emerging countries (also see the Clariant Integrated Report 2016). The most significant change in the Group’s structure was the acquisition of Kel-Tech and X-Chem, US-based suppliers of specialty chemicals for oilfield operations. As the site consolidation for the before mentioned acquisitions was not yet finished until end of 2016, the environmental performance reporting for these sites will be done starting next year.
